IAS SR Sankaran A Humane Public Servant, I met S.R. Sankaran on 6th October 2010 evening to finalize his program to release K. Balagopal’s book on the occasion of the first endowment lecture to be delivered by Aruna Roy at Warangal on 8th October, the first anniversary of Balagopal. Sankaran was looking forward to this occasion but in the course of more than an hour that I was with him, he did say t hat he was feeling feverish, and had body pains but assured me that he would be alright. I hardly realized that it was my last meeting with him. - Prof. Haragopal Mr. S. R. Sankaran was a saint among officials who fought for the welfare of Dalits, Girijans, and the poor said Lok Satta Party President Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan.
